Aztecs will be entertaining Aston Villa 'Old Stars' in a rearranged event on Sunday 15 May 2011 at Linton Village College. This day is dedicated to the memory of our late chairman Barry Brewer who lost his battle with cancer last summer. Barry led our club for many years and played a crucial part in it becoming the successful one it is today, with great spirit of unity & community.
He believed in football for all and in the many benefits it brings to children of all ages teaching them the meaning of working as a team. He was an inspiration to us all and is sadly missed. However this event is about having fun and raising money for charity and with that in mind we would like to thank you all for your support and especially to all the Aston Villa players who are coming along and joining us.
TEENAGE CANCER TRUST
Pupils of Linton Village College are running a tombola stall at this event to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. They will also be coming around collecting, so please give generously.
For each programme sold at this event at £1.00 each 25p from each sale will be donated to “Teenage Cancer Trustâ€

Paul Richardson, Manager U13s arranged for our old club kit to be used by a group of ethnic gypsy (aka Rroma) children near Brasov in Transylvania in Romania.
This is the note from his friend who runs the charity out there:
“Dear Paul,
I have met a young man in Sacele who is a former football player in the local team. He is now coaching boys in town and is very enthusiastic. He was very happy to receive the equipment you sent. I think it is a great start in developing a future sport programme. I will stay in touch with him and try to give him more support in the future.
I hope you like the photos!
